Bradley Will Simpson sold out four nights at The 100 Club in London last month to promote his debut single and sing some unreleased songs. We were lucky enough to attend the final night and it was amazing!

Brad, lead singer and guitarist of The Vamps, had only just released his debut solo song prior to this gig. He sang nine songs in total during the gig, eight of his own and one cover of Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody. The cover resonated with all of The Vamps fans in the audience as they typically play this song just before they come on stage. Brad made sure to add his own spin on the song so it didn’t sound the same old and I’d love to hear his version a little more often, the audience reaction proved that everybody else loved it too.
As mentioned above prior to this string of gigs Brad had only released Cry at the Moon which is his debut single and he sang this one first. Leading with this meant that fans could sing and dance along and they knew what to expect from the rest of his 45 minute set. Each of Brad’s songs were unique in their own way but they also weren’t out of place for the sound that he has debuted in the last few weeks. Out of all the unreleased songs Brad sang Picasso seemed to go down the best and has since become a fan favourite across Twitter.
The energy in the room, which only held 350 fans, when he sang the unreleased songs was unbelievable considering they’re not known yet. You could feel the excitment in the room, especially when Brad casually mentioned an album is due to follow Cry at the Moon. Every single person, including us of course, was dancing along and tapping their feet. I thought it was exceptional that Brad played these intimate shows enabling his number one fans to hear his music first.
Brad also ensured that top fans who couldn’t attend didn’t miss out as he filmed a special live video of Cry at the Moon. You can watch the video down below.
Overall Brad’s show was incredibly special. It was so nice to see all of the day-one Vamps fans out in force to celebrate Brad’s new era.
