Bradley Simpson has released his second solo single, Picasso, alongside tour dates for the UK and Europe.
Bradley Simpson has released his second single following his debut Cry at the Moon. Picasso was released last week and has already been crowned as a firm fan favourite.
Bradley, lead singer of The Vamps, is currently delving into his own solo project. Picasso is his sophomore single as a solo artist and the song would not be out of place in a 1960s playlist. It appears to be quite groovy on the surface but listening the second time round, the lyrics prove to have a deeper meaning and are relatable for listeners.
Picasso was produced by BOOTS, a two-time Grammy nominee who has also worked with Beyoncé. The first two songs of Brad’s were written at his modest home studio and recorded in New York’s Flux Studio, where the likes of The Strokes have also recorded.
Bradley says of Picasso:
‘Picasso’ is about one of those toxic loves that you know is bad for you, but there’s something amazing about it that keeps you coming back. You always hope that things are going to turn out for the best, so you keep giving chances when maybe in hindsight you should’ve stopped early doors. You also come across people who can find dress-up those hardships as part of romance. That song allowed me to exercise those experiences and move past them.
As well as releasing a new single, Bradley also surprised fans with dropping his solo tour dates. The tour will be taking place throughout October and November, with the majority of the UK shows already sold out. He has had to add a third London date due to such high demand (tickets sold out for the first two dates in just three minutes!), you can get tickets here.
