Bradley Simpson recently released his debut album, The Panic Years, and it is absolutely fantastic.
Bradley Simpson has released his eagerly awaited debut album, The Panic Years, and it is everything fans could have hoped for. In the last year Bradley has released a few singles providing fans with snippets of what his debut album would sound like. We now don’t need to wonder any longer as The Panic Years is finally here and it’s fantastic!
Known as the energetic frontman for band The Vamps, this shines massively through Bradley’s debut album. The Panic Years is an album packed full of energetic, emotionally-charged and vibrant set of songs. Each song is extremely catchy and I’ve found myself singing them the last few weeks, particularly Picasso which was one of the singles.
Bradley delves into personal experiences throughout the album, making it seem quite raw and emotional when you look deep into some of the lyrics, specifically Holy Grail. Quite a few songs also seem to hint towards the breakdown of a relationship but the lyrics are cleverly disguised with an edgy sound and Bradley’s incredible vocals.
During the release week, Bradley toured record shops around the UK playing small acoustic sets and signing albums. We were lucky enough to attend the one in London and it was brilliant. Each song from the album was definitely written to be sung live, hearing the crowd singing along that evening was so infectious. Bradley was also engaging with his fans, laughing along with them, it’s no surprise as to how and why he has got such a strong loyal fanbase. He has built such a great atmosphere at his solo shows.

The album also soared all the way up the charts to make it into the Top 10, landing at number 7. After accepting his Official Top 10 Award, Bradley told the Official Charts:
This is wild, thank you to the Official Charts and to anyone who got the album. I love you all, the support’s been incredible.
Congrats, Bradley! We love the album and are so excited for what’s to come. You can listen to The Panic Years now.
