Joe Jonas has released his eagerly awaited sophomore album, Music For People Who Believe In Love.
Joe Jonas finally released his second solo album last week, Music For People Who Believe In Love. The album has been highly anticipated by his loyal fans since his debut solo album release, Fastlife, way back in 2011.
After first finding fame in the Jonas Brothers, then going on to be the frontman of DNCE, Joe Jonas is now back to forging his solo music career with Music For People Who Believe In Love. The album contains 14 songs, including seven collaborations one of which is with his brother Franklin Jonas.
Prior to releasing this album, Joe released three singles (Work It Out, What This Could Be, Heart By Heart) giving fans a preview into what it would sound like. These singles are the perfect introduction to the entire album. This album is a diverse mix of music genres – pop, funk, country and I’d say a little bit of rock too.
Music For People Who Believe In Love reflects on some of Joe’s personal challenges, such as divorce and navigating fatherhood, creating a sense of vulnerability and uniqueness. However, the album does also emphasise Joe’s healing journey, with elements of growth and recovery visible in certain songs. It covers the typical themes of love and healing, but also delves into feelings of hope and gratitude.
The album also showcases Joe’s creativity as a solo artist and highlights that he is experimenting with his music, Velvet Sunshine is definitely an example of him exploring new areas of music. Joe sings this alongside his brother Franklin Jonas, and they first sang it live in February, once again hyping fans up in time for the release of the album.
Joe has also made sure to dedicate part of his new solo album to his two daughters. Hey Beautiful is a heartfelt emotional song, offering fans and listeners a glimpse into Joe’s personal life as a devoted father. In an interview with Billboard, Joe described the song as “a lullaby to my kids”.
‘Music For People Who Believe In Love’ is available to listen to on streaming platforms now.
