JLS surprise 80,000 fans by taking to the stage, as a surprise guest, at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball.
Year on year Capital FM host ‘the UK’s biggest party’ at Wembley Stadium, packing it full of 80,000 music fans. Summertime Ball is an event that is counted down to annually by artists and fans alike.
The lineup for this year’s Summertime Ball was huge! Mariah Carey, Will Smith & Dj Jazzy Jeff, Benson Boone and Tate McRae were all listed on the bill this year, among many other pop superstars.
Every year the day-long event teases a surprise act that isn’t revealed until they appear on the stage. This year JLS were the ones that wowed the crowd as they quite literally jumped out from the stage during their surprise intro.
JLS sang a nostalgic set of songs that definitely kept the 80k capacity crowd entertained. They sang four of their top hits – The Club Is Alive, Beat Again, She Makes Me Wanna and Everybody In Love.
Their outro, at the end of Everybody In Love, also earned a lot of outpouring admiration, gaining thousands of views of them jumping back into the stage.
Aston, Marvin, JB and Oritsé first soared to fame on The X Factor in 2008, before splitting in 2013. The group then got back together in 2020, since then they’ve released new music and completed three UK tours. They are also set to tour the UK again this November.
What a great surprise act! Well done, Capital!
