All of the artists shortlisted for the Mercury Prize 2025

The names for all those shortlisted for the Mercury Prize 2025 have now been revealed.

The Mercury Prize is a prestigious annual music award given for the best album released that year, in the UK and Ireland. The Prize was established in 1992 and aims to celebrate artistic achievement across all genres of music. This year is the first year that the awards have been held outside of London, they will be held in Newcastle next month.

This year’s shortlist was announced this week by Lauren Laverne on BBC Radio 6 Music. BBC Music is the Mercury Prize’s broadcast partner and will be showcasing the awards.

• Wolf Alice – The Clearing
