It has been revealed that the Jonas Brothers will be honoured as Disney Legends later this year.
The Walt Disney Company has recently announced this year’s cohort of Disney Legends, and the Jonas Brothers are one of those set to be honoured. Other stars to be honoured this year are Lin Manuel Miranda, Anne Hathaway and Dwayne Johnson.
The Jonas Brothers’ are to be honoured for their services to Disney television and music. This comes as no surprise since this is where Nick, Joe and Kevin first rose to fame.
The brothers’ starred in the Disney Channel original movie, ‘Camp Rock’, in 2008 and its sequel in 2010. They also had their own TV show on Disney Channel, known as ‘Jonas’ then ‘Jonas LA’. As well as acting for Disney, three of their albums (Jonas Brothers, A Little Bit Longer and Lines, Vines and Trying Times) were also released under Disney’s Hollywood Records.
Since their comeback, the Jonas Brothers have been gone from strength to strength. Including a Grammy nomination and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They have also since returned to their Disney roots, they released ‘A Very Jonas Christmas Movie’ exclusively on Disney+ in 2025, and have also worked on ‘Camp Rock 3’.
The Disney Legends Award Ceremony will take place on the final day of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event which will be 16th August. Ryan Seacrest is set to host the ceremony. The ceremony itself will be filled with tributes and memories of the honourees.
The Jonas Brothers induction follows that of Miley Cyrus’ last year. Miley, who was from the same Disney Channel era and even shares a song with the brothers, was the youngest star to ever be honoured with Disney Legend status.
The Disney Legends program has ran for 39 years and includes 329 Disney Legends, that is including this year’s honourees. Read more about this year’s honourees here.
Congratulations to the Jonas Brothers, and all those also honoured!
